The Notre Dame Community Choir

The University of Notre Dame Community Choir serves the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame. The Choir welcoming and inclusive, and is comprised of people of all ages from the greater South Bend community as well as students, faculty and staff from the University. The choir’s two major functions are providing music for the 10 a.m. Solemn Mass in the Basilica during the summer months and singing for Christmas Eve Mass. The mission of the Community Choir is to provide the highest quality music in the Basilica representing all musical periods for all who wish to sing.

How to Join

All are welcome to join the Community Choir. There is no audition, previous musical experience, or fee required. The only requirement requested is the ability to match pitch. Schedule

In the summer months the choir rehearses from 6-7:30pm on Thursday nights in 329 Coleman-Morse Center and sings for the 10am Mass on Sunday mornings in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. In December the choir rehearses from 7-8:45pm on Monday nights in 329 Coleman-Morse Center in preparation for  Mass on Christmas Eve, December 24. A current detailed schedule can be found here.
